I often get asked what I’m doing when I’m taking pictures of food. People find it quite odd, all in all. But this video hints a little at the beauty to be found in the food we prepare and eat. So many colors, so many textures – and a little strange alchemy in all of these ingredients coming together and forming something totally unique.

I like writing, photography, reading, music, design, typography, paper products, days in the seventies and sparkly snow, Spanish wine and cans of PBR. I spent a year in Córdoba, Spain, working as a language and culture assistant through the Spanish government, traveling, and writing about it here. After a few years back in my home state of Montana, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I like to go exploring, take pictures of my food, write letters, dream of far-off places, and think about concepts of home.
