The other day at A Home in the Making, Jenn revealed the anglepoise-style lamp she repainted orange, saying how she was scared it would be too bright, too orange. But it turned out great. And reading it, I thought, “Too orange? Is there such a thing in a classic lamp?” and then thought, “Well, who knows. Maybe I’m garish.”
So walking to work this morning on another kinda gray day, I looked down and started laughing.
I was wearing my orange trench coat, which is quite bright and quite orange. Along with my yellow purse (which a friend recently described as a beacon, saying she could pick me out from blocks away…)
and red flats…
and the purple nails I mentioned yesterday.
I’m like freaking Rainbow Brite.
Too bad I don’t have a white horse (of any variety, including the Nice and Smooth kind) or a weird fuzzy friend.
But I do have a closet with plenty of gray day solutions.

LOVE this! You are so colorful :). And, I really love the orange of your trench.
Whenever I used to wear it, my dad would ask me if I was going hunting. I was like, “Um, dad, Michael Kors does not hunt.”
