Last week, this little corner of the internet turned 4! Hard to believe I’ve spent as long writing here as I spent in high school – luckily, far less drama here!
I was actually tipped off to the anniversary when reading this post about the blog TravelingMama turning 4. Made me realize that my time was about to come up, too – and then I realized I missed it by a week. Welcome to my life. 😉
It’s strange sometimes reading blogs that feel really established and realizing that they’ve been posting as long as you have or for less time (sometimes much, much less). Sometimes I wonder about increasing my readership, social networking, “linky parties,” all of those things, and I’m not above them – I just don’t seem to make them a priority. It also comes down to realizing that I am an inherently pretty private person until you get to know me well, but I enjoy posting here and am very thankful for the connections I’ve made. Readers: thanks for sticking with me. I really do have good intentions when it comes to updates, more photos, more frequent posts and all of that. In the meantime, dear blog, I’ll take a cue from Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones’s Diary and say, “I like you very much. Just as you are.”

Happy bloggy birthday! 🙂
Ha! Don’t feel bad. Technically my little celebration was a couple weeks overdue! I decided a little ways into blogging that it wasn’t worth the fuss and the running around just to “keep up with the Joneses.” Being you and writing from your heart is what makes blogs special! Happy Blog Birthday!
Thanks for the reply 🙂 The Joneses seem to have a lot more time on their hands, or are far less distracted than I am. Good for them, I figure! I’ve done some things I’m happy with here (“just as they are”…!) and have more plans and goals. Not a bad place to be.
