Since I haven’t left my bed in three days (yes, I write this from there, and yes, a swab stuck so far up my nose I think it touched my brain confirmed I have actual influenza and, no, don’t ask me if I got a flu shot), it seems like the perfect time to be dreaming about being elsewhere. Since I’ve been sleeping about 18-20 hours per day, interrupted by violent coughing blasts, those few hours when I’m awake and consuming little outside applesauce and Odwallas seem like pretty good times to be starting Spain…On the Road Again, which I got on DVD for my birthday.
Did you watch it when it was on PBS?
If Spain isn’t so much your speed at the moment, these travel videos have also caught my eye recently (mostly via Google Reader):
Iceland, highly influenced by the Where the Hell is Matt? phenomenon:
(a friend’s dad went through a bit of a midlife crisis when we were in middle school, so, in addition to building a wooden boat and a few other things, he took his whole family to Iceland. My friend described it as “actually a lot like Montana, but blonder.” I could see that.)
I’ve also been really liking these EF videos (which have been all over the web lately, but originality is not my highest priority at the moment):
and what the hell, let’s conclude our adventure in Spain after all.
Wish me luck, and that Tamiflu does what it’s supposed to do. Time for another nap.
