So I’ll admit it. I’m intrigued by Kate Middleton, and how she manages to look really pulled together and even *ahem* royal without looking dowdy or boring. Her absurd figure helps. But she also has a certain panache.
And, inspired by conversations this weekend about the overwhelming (and growing) number of ugly boots in this world, I thought I’d do a quick post about boots that are not ugly. Specifically, boots that are not ugly that Kate Middleton has worn. Here goes:
heeled riding boots at a polo match:
somehow pulling off a tartan skirt and just-right hunter green slouchy boots:
wearing boots in two out of four photos, in a People magazine spread circa 2007:
again, looking current despite this photo being 3 years old (and it’s funny since this article talked about engagement rumors…in 2007. I don’t really envy her life.)
and finally, she’s the only woman I know how can wear flat boots and have calves like these:
Royalty may be frivolous, sure…but won’t it be more fun to track Kate’s style than Camilla’s? Remember that bird hat thing that kept trying to honor its roots and fly away?
