After seeing cool craft ideas in every house mag known to (wo)man, my sister and I decided to host a little crafty party with a few friends. Such a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
A few photos from the day:
Absurdly huge spider my mom brought. I kind of love it. Please note Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus in the background…
tools of the trade…(and a stretchy skeleton)
spider rings really are the answer. to everything.
My roommate’s cat, Peepers, was so curious about the entire process…
…especially when a cat came on TV during one of the THREE movies we watched.
(and yes, that is a DVD player, VHS, AND Beta tape player)
pumpkin goo
I decided to skip the goo (and the inevitable embarrassment when my pumpkin looks like a kid went nuts with a knife…) and use my under-utilized lino cutter.
Turns out, even I can trace.
Tomorrow, part 2: bottles, and apples, and pumpkins, oh my!
(textures from fuzzimo.com, my new favorite place)

This looks like SO much fun. Wish I was closer. I promise I would have stayed to help clean up the pumpkin goo.
